We have finally tried Olly on hommous and he liked it
if no allergic reation I shall continue to offer it! We only had tortilla chips though and he dipped and sucked it. Obviously they are high salt so I need to find an alternative for him.
What do you dip?

Unsalted tortilla chips?
But my DS uses hummus for carrot sticks, red pepper strips, celery, toast or breadsticks, pita breads, and his fingers

I will try the veg, again the carrot sticks are too hard but he could suck it off them. No go with the bready things (wheat allergy)

Do you have any wheat free breads that he eats? Whatever his bread substitute is should be good! A lot of my DS's breads are wheat-free, such as rye crisp breads or rice crisp breads and such, and anything starchy is good for hummous!

He has his WF toast most lunch times with soy cheese or ham etc. I could always add a dollop of hommous too!
Is it considered a protein do you think?

Cool, something to add into his diet then. Really chuffed actaully as normally he doesn't like wet foods! I wasn't going to offer him any but we were all having lunch together and we had it on the table and he asked for it. Thought he would dip and play but refuse to eat. Tub was nearly empty though so not sure how he will handle more. Will have to see. Fingers crossed he doesn't react to it. He is down for his nap now so time will tell

Look- may be unconventional- but i enjoy chicken dipped in hummus!- or i don't even mind eating the stuff with a spoon!
Just did a search- how about apple slices, capsicum slices or half/whole cherry or grape tomatoes?
One suggestion was for 'chubby little boy's fingers!'- sounds good to me!

I have done in the past but we don't eat it much TBH. Just fancied some yesterday as Olly is taking a whiole to go to bed at the mo so I knew dinner would be late! If he takes to it I will buy/make it more often

Charlotte loves it. She has it with vegetable crudites and with breadsticks/cheese straws and pitta (not sure which of those you can get wheat free).
I love houmous with grated cheese and grated carrot in warm pitta!! So so delicious!

C LOVES houmous too... on anything. She will also eat it with a spoon too! She loves it with celery, carrot and pepper sticks. I guess sticks of cucumber would be good too (and soft enough) but C doesn't like cucumber.
