I wud try sleep on the flr and just put a hand thru the cot if u need to. I did that with ds2. At least u can sleep a bit. Ds2 was always either ill, teething or 'developing' some kids are sensitive. He rarely sttn at 17mo. Just do whatever you can to survive and admit u cant fix evrything. If shes doing well in other regards and is happy and healthy you must be doing a gd job. Hp rest of ur nite is bettr xx

In the end we moved Stan out of my bed back into his, and Audrey came into bed with us. I think she was poorly, she seemed so hot all night although the thermometer wasn't saying she had a temp. Every 45 mins she was tossing and turning and trying to wake up, so I didn't get much sleep. She is very tired and clingy today, crying and whining, not like her.

We have tried Nurofen in the past. It is not an easy task to give her meds so it's not something I can just decide to do in the middle of the night - it means getting her out of bed and into the light, getting Brad up to help etc.

I hope she is just catching up on sleep today and not storing up reserves for a great big UT waking tonight! She had an epic 3hr long NW last night (10.15pm-1.15am) and was really so restless the right of the night... today she is so miserable and barely handled 2hrs A time for first and second A time... and that was me pushing her.

Hugs Anna.  Sickly baby is not fun.  Fingers crossed she is just clearing all the OT and will give you a better night tonight.
My husband is running 13.1 miles in the Great North Run in memory of my brother. Please can you help us raise funds for the Cardiomyopathy Association in his memory?

Big hugs Anna.  It's so tiring for everyone when the LOs are sick.  Hope she gets better and you both get some sleep soon.

Anna, I have been thinking about you and A and I know she has been checked over but I think it would be worth asking the doc to check the pressure in her ears. Docs, especially ones that are not specialists in ears can often miss LOs having fluid in their ears because they cannot always tell my just looking but it is very, very painful when LO lies down. Leorah was the worst teether ever but in hindsight with all the ear problems she has had since we finally realised she couldn't hear at almost 2 I now think it was probably her ears as well as the teeth  ::) Pain killers help with infections but can't really help with the fluid because it is the pressure that causes them to hurt, Nurofen helps a bit but once the pain has started in the middle of the night it takes a long time to kick in, I guess like if you have a mild period pain and you take a pain killer it deadens it quite quick but if you ignore that niggle and the pain becomes really bad it can take a few hours before the meds really help, kwim? How is she if you take her out of the cot upright, does she stop crying? It may not be because you have picked her up, it may be because she feels better. When L was bad I used to sit up in my bed holding her and dosed, I never fell in a deep sleep but it was better than nothing.

We're cosleeping, and neither of us really sleeping at all. It's 5.30am, DH is downstairs with her, I think we got maybe 1.6-2 hrs at most since 1am. I'm supposed to be sleeping but she is crying so hard... Better go

I'm falling apart. This is just ridiculous. I don't think I can safely drive any more and I'm having visions of hurting her :(
