Which sippy for milk??
« on: May 06, 2012, 08:13:40 am »
M has a tommee tippee free flow cup for water but fairly soon I ma going to try and put her am milk in a cup. I would like to use a different one that she can associate with milk as it worked well for DS. I used the Amadeus cow cup for milk for DS which was great as it was big enough to take about 8oz but they don't seem to do them any more. I am not keen on straw cups really.

Any suggestions??

Ok becky- here's my advice- So i looked at the suggested cup and found the exact one in the shop (including the cow on the orange- a very odd combination i find... a side suggestion is not to offer milk and orange juice at once..)

It said '18 months'- but i live on the edge- we are BLWeaners- so we ignire age restrictions.. UNTIL i filled it with water and gave it to him.. the size of it means that he can't actually manage to hold it and tip it- even if i half fill it!!! SO- I still like the spout- so my suggestion- If you have a 6-12 month sort of cup- short and stout- the lid fits onto that- which is good as then you can use the handles that come with the smaller cup AND they can manage to hold it and tip it, using the handles! You could buy both- i'm a real stickler for having the right spout/teat- but that's my job, so i'm a bit OCD about it- SO- 6-12 month base, 18 month spout top. I also take out the valve as i figure that;s more washing and i like a free flow style.. (again- BLWeaners LOVE mess!)

I just used a Tommee Tippee free flowing one.  Any reason not to use the same for milk?
