What is your 3 or 4 y.o.'s favorite toy?

Just curious...

I feel like my DD doesn't actually PLAY with any of her toys really.  But, she also hasn't gotten any new toys in ages (since Christmas really), so I'd like to get her something soon and also start planning for her BDay in the fall.  We are also in the process of storing away some of the toys which are really too young for her now.

I'd love to hear what your LOs love. Both boys and girls, as my DD is just as likely to dress a doll as she is to play with trains or catch toads.

DS loves all little figures - superheroes especially at the moment but he has little soldiers/ men/ characters from tv shows. He has lots of other toys but these guys go in the bath with him and everything

Arts and crafts are v popular here. I think my DD is the same birthday as yours right? Anyway she loves play doh, painting, drawing, sticking, all those types of things, she is also getting into writing letters and numbers so stencils are great for that. She also loves her Toy Story toys, and playing with a till and basket/trolley and pretend food. Dressing up is another favourite too. It's all about imaginative play for her right now

It was my DD's 3rd birthday recently so she got quite a few new toys.  Her favorites are these:

Her all-time favorite are puzzles... with all the themes that she loves - Dora, Hello Kitty, etc.

DS loves his machines so his tractors, diggers etc. Playmobil is a big hit here. He is a real outdoors boy so his scooter is great and he also loves his trampoline. x

Oh yes puzzles are a big hit too, and my mum has tons of playmobil from when I was a kid and DD LOVES it, I just haven't got any yet what with all the teeny bits and a certain not quite 2 yo!

Oh and a doctor's kit too, she spend ages playing with that.

^ Yes! DD absolutely loves her Dr kit, and it's also a good interaction one, as I just get to lie there and be patient

 My dd is totally artsy...she would paint/draw/color/glue/create all day long....so water paint sets, blank cards and envelopes to make her own cards, etc were al popular. 
 She LOVES her tent!!! This is in the living room!!

It's all about duplo here!  he plays for hours and hours with it every day - building stuff and doing pretend play.  Also his sand pit and water tray.

I want to cry when I read this lol. Finn just won't play with anything for any given time.  We wish he'd develop a favourite something...anything.  He doesn't like crafty stuff - Play Doh only to make a mess with, not to actually create anything.  He's way more interested in real life and what's coming next.

But he loves the park and swimming and physical stuff and his bikes. 

He's obsessed with rocks and sticks and what bugs are doing.

Wendy, I know just how you feel    DD is also very physical, and I think that plays into it, but really, she doesn't sit and play with much of anything.  She kind of just follows me around all day, and gets into stuff she's not supposed to be into, lol. She loves searching for bugs, running, jumping, biking, swimming, loves to be out and about with other kids.  But sometimes, I long for her to just sit and play with SOMETHING! It's a rarity here honestly. She does enjoy crafts, but the attention span is short and someone has to be her audience.  Play-doh she does enjoy and is really the only thing she will occasionally do alone. 

I do know part of the issue here is I desperately need to sort thru and organize her toys.  That's definitely the first step before any new toys.  But there are some great ideas here I do think DD will really enjoy.
