I agree with BB... doesn't sound like MPI at all to me hun...

The D/V bug could have very easily left him unable to tolerate lactose (as BB mentioned) and that will clear over time.  Cooking would alter the proteins in the milk product but it won't change the lactose at all.. so it could well be the lactose causing his issues.

I would be tempted to offer him a small amount of lactose free cows milk just to see what happens...

Yes the GP did also say it would only be temporary, hence why he suggested a 6 week change in diet, but when we reintroduced 'milk' again it didn't go to plan. He still thinks it is temporary and thats why we are doing the test again at 12months.

Maybe his problem is with the Lactose then, i feel terrible for not knowing for sure! :-[

Aw hun... they don't have a manual with them... and they can't tell us.  How would you know?
