Giving water at night.....
« on: May 27, 2012, 21:39:09 pm »
Just wondering - its hot here atm and doesn't really drop at night in the house. I've weaned daytime BF and only feed her at night Or early am. If I offer her water in a bottle she will glug it like milk - should I offer it to her in the night if she wakes while it's so hot? Or let her have a BF?

Do you have enough milk for her during the night? If you do and you are happy to BF her I would do that first and maybe offer water after the feed incase she is still thirsty.

Well as of last night I'd say the answer to that is now no, I don't think I do - I BF'd both sides and put her down, and within 10 mins she was yelling for more and took another 5 oz. So I think we are done with BF - that was our last feed  :'(

I'll offer her some water - I just have to stop her glugging it like its a milk feed.....
