it sounds like the 4 month sleep regression - if you google it you will find a lot of people in the same position

p.s. I didnt find that solids made any difference to sleep

i looked online and apparently he should be sleeping at least 3 hours and then wake up he didnt last night - he was like in bed at 7 till 9 didnt get to sleep till 11:30 (feeding nearly whole time) slept till 1:30 fed for a bit then woke up i think it was 3 then again about 4 or 5 then decided to wake up about 7 i think husband took over and i was able to sleep till about 10:30.

tonight he was in bed about 7 looked tired but he woke up 7:30 didnt get to bed till about 8:30.... hes still asleep but dont think he will stay asleep

There's a massive growth spurt and sleep regression at 4m.  He really doesn't need solid food yet - just keep going with the milk.  He'll probably feed a lot more often than normal, but this should pass fairly soon and hopefully his sleep will settle down again also.

You're doing great :)
