Sorry I wasn't around either - I think I'd have said to let him have a fair while considering he still napped at usual sort of time even after that long nap earlier, but then as I said I'm terrified of OT.

Hope BT is ok.

Hey ladies

Well today went

W - 5am
S - 9-11.40
S - 3.15-4
BT - 7

Dh had to have him after his nap and said he was in a great mood, wasn't rolling around tired then just grabbed his dummy etc, made for the stairs, bottle and conked out so that was a welcomed change...let's see what the night brings.

Thanks again x

So there was some definite improvement - he slept until 5.40 and I popped his dummy in and not quite sure if he went back, probably not, but he was quiet enough that I dropped back off to sleep til 6.10

So not quite sure how to tackle today; do I carry on and let him sleep to catch up or do I start trying to get things on track? My gut feeling is that he's been so OT I'm not sure he will have CU with an extra 40mins sleep yesterday but he's much happier this morning and is already running around shouting ball!

Well its 9.10 and he's already back down, he went from happy to 'makes me want to grind my teeth' whiny in 15 mins so up the apples and pears for him...

Great news. Not sure what to suggest for today, think you need to play it by ear really. I'd say he'd need a bit more of a catch up too, but see what signs he gives you. I'd definitely let him have as long as he wants this morning and go from there.

We have had 5.40am every morning this week, along with night terrors, NWings and grumpy OT behaviour :( He was asleep at 5pm last night! I'd had enough!!

Bloody hell, that's tough! I'm lucky that DD is a decent sleeper now, she used to be terrible so I know its not forever but it feels like it eh?

Will your DS be starting school September? I love school, it knackers DD out nicely x

Hiya,

Glad he's doing better Hun. 3.5 hours is not a bad A time this morning really. I'm always scared of allowing too much CU but it's tricky to strike a happy medium isn't it. Bearing in mind yesterday went well I would stick with something similar, but not be too surprised if he's more UT at BT.

Good Luck.x.

Yes, pre-school. Cant wait tbh! ;) I think he'll love it and the routine will hopefully do him good too.

Thanks for the advice ladies. He had just short of 2hrs and woke himself so I'll go with that.

God knows when he will nap this Pm, shall I cap at 45? X

I think I probably would, but make sure you are careful about BT - you dont want him OT for then.

Well it was all going well until he decided he wanted nap only a couple of hrs of A time. I ended up putting him down at 2.20 as he was evil and getting on my nerves then he rolled around until 2.45 and he had 45 mins.

Cue more evil-ness and generally being a massive whingebag. DH put him down at 6.20 but he's still not gone off.

I dunno how he's still so tired after a restful 2hr nap and how to put it right. I didn't cap at 45mins this PM, he woke himself so he's OT but not sure how to tackle it??

He possibly needs longer to catch up. Other than an early BT, which you have done (perhaps not early enough but it's so hard to judge), all you can do is spend the next couple of days working on getting him down at the right times for naps and BTs so he has as much sleep as possible.

Is he asleep yet?

Hoping for a good night.
