LOL I have no idea what DD is doing, yesterday she had: am nap 1.5hrs, pm nap 2h20min! 2 NW overnight with 9h night sleep. And am nap today 1h55min after 3h A, but skipped the pm nap (tried twice to pd), and had 7hr A until 6:15pm BT. I am hoping she won't be too OT and NW heaps  tonight!!!

hmmm not sure about developmental stuff, she's still working on crawling, maybe it's that! or teeth lol. Could be the top ones going to arrive sometime soon? I don't know, but she's generally happy (unless getting tired and doesn't have 100% of my attention) and doesn't seem in any discomfort.
Last night:
BT 6:10pm
NW and NF 9:40pm, 2:20am, 5:00am (up for an hour... it was prob attempted EW but i tried hard to get her back to sleep and ended up bf to sleep by 6am)
--total night sleep 11h 40min--
Today WU 7:50am (my bad - shouldn't have let her sleep in but thought she needed the extra sleep!)
E solids 9am, bf 9:35am
A 3h 40min
S 11:30am-12:35pm (1h 5min)
E bf 12:40pm, bf 3:20pm
Failed to be PD twice for nap
E 4:00pm solids, bf 5:10pm
A 5h 10min
S BT 6:00pm....

Tomorrow is a stay at home and try and get the EASY right, good As and some good naps day!

When did you try to PD for pm naps?
I think she's in a loop, that is an awful long A for 7.5 mths...but then less gives you a worse nap is that right?

not sure about pd of failed nap timing, daddy was doing that while i was out. I did get home yesterday when he was doing it, so maybe at about 3:20ish. So maybe 2.5-2.75hr A, after 1h 5min nap that morrning.

Last night DD got 9h50min sleep, 4NW and NF.

Today WU 6:20am
First A today 3h 25min
Nap at 9:45am to 11:50am (2hr 5min!!)
A 3h 5min
Nap at 2:55pm for 35min to 3:30pm (woke up grumpy, tried to resettle but gave up thinking i'd try for early BT -- maybe was UT?)
A 3h 50min
BT 7:20pm (not early LOL!)

DD is 36.5weeks old now, bit over 8 months so we try for 3hr A, give or take 20min or so depending on what she's like/previous nap - is that about right?

It's hard to say how A times affect her naps, i think you're right about the loop, and i think it clouds from me what she really needs. So that's why i watch her and try for 3hr A as much as possible??

That first A looks good :)
Second A could be a touch short, but great she took the nap ;)

Is she touchy? Some touchy babies will struggle with the PM nap but give a long am nap.

I would def try an earlier BT if you can when she does short PM naps...and your right, 20 mins less A is about right after a short nap, though all LOs are different.

If your feeding at every NW there could be a bit of a prop forming to get back to sleep too :-\ what do you think.

LOL you're prob right about a NF prop, but if i think i can get away with it I try not to. I am not sure if teeth are on their way... top gums feel a bit swollen.
Last night she NW and NF at 10pm, NW 11:30pm (no NF then - resettled in 10min), NWand NF at 12:40am and 3:40am and WU 6:30am. So night sleep not quite 10hrs.
Today she had 1.25hs am nap, and napping now again, thank goodness. A times of 3hr 25min and 3hr 10min.
She's touchy, maybe getting less so generally, but is with sleep!

I could try for earlier A than 3hrs, but she's normally full of beans, and i hadn't thought to do that as she doesn't seem sleepy. If she shows signs before 3hr i do try, it can work then!

I still try for 3hrs - this morning i tried to pd after 3h10min A, but then smelled poo : ( so had to get her up and change nappy. Then she was hyped up and trying to abseil off the change table... So we played a bit and it was another 40min or so before pd again.

So this morning DD slept 1h30min until 12:05pm.

This afternoon tried pd at 3:15pm. She yawned at the start of pd and seemed tired but wouldn't settle. Gave up at 3:50pm. Tried again at 4pm, but DD was screaming so gave up. Too stressful for both of us. So no pm nap. She's been playing by herself with toys for the last half hour or so quite happily. Second wind?

Is it better at 4pm to wait it out and aim for a 5:30pm EBT, or try and get a cn in, though that is likey to push out a late bt as she still seems to need a fairly decent A before bed?

LOL!! Here I am!! Not sure how much i can help though!!

How did she go last night after the skipped nap? It gets hard at this age when they aren't crawling yet- i remember many days when he would have liked more than a 3 hour A time in the afternoon but that would take it way too close to being too late!

SO- what happens if you give her a longer A time in the morning? My guy liked a long first A time- then shorter for the rest of the day. I wonder if as sara says that she is getting tired by the end of the day but needs more A time in the morning. Until she's crawling she probably has a lot of energy t burn!!

hey katy, thanks! Good idea, maybe i could stretch the morning A... Ummm is 4hrs too long? She's gone down easily at 3h 25min lately, but she might be able to do more some days.

Last night wasn't so bad. I think it was NW and NF at 9:45pm and 2:15am, 3 NW in between that, and then NW at 3:40am, and WU 6:15am. Could be worse!

Today first A was 3h 15min then 1hr 5min nap, then second A 3h 35min and 1hr 30min nap - she fought being pd though! Last A 2hr 50min, bt pd 6:20pm asleep at 6:35.

You're so right about the crawling! hope it settles down once she sorts it out...
