Please help - we are going backwards with EASY when I thought we may have figured it out. Starting to lose faith that this will be a long term solution for my 5.5 month old spirited DS who has always fought naps.
Not sure if we are in a GS or if we are not sleeping as well and therefore we are reverting back to eating often as when he eats he is tired, and when it is time for sleep, he wakes up to eat (prior to EASY he ate every 1.30 - 2.30 hours, for the first week or so of EASY I got him to do 3.25 - 4 hour stretches). I also worry that half of the time now I am feeding him again before sleep.
I know at this age he should be ready for 4 hour EASY but lately we are not able to often make it to 3 hour EASY because of short naps and frequent feedings.
Sam's grandparents came into town a week ago, but they have been trying not to overstimulate him and help us stick to a routine though this may be part of the problem.
Can't rule teething out but when I give him teething tablets when he is crying and crying and crying, they don't seem to calm him.
I know it was stated that PU/PD is too stimulating for spirited babies but he will not let me roll him to his side (he lays on his back to look at me and cry) to pat and shhh/pat or holding hand on tummy makes him more upset so I feel that if I don't do PU/PD, I may not be able to get him to calm down and go to sleep at all.
I can sometimes get him to stop crying without PU/PD but as soon as he stops and I walk away from the crib he starts crying. A lot of times (but not always) when I walk back to comfort him, he stops crying immediately. I feel like we could do this for hours at times.
Here are the last few days...prior to these days I was getting usually 1 nap of 1.15 - 1.45 and 2 more that were about 45-50 mins.

Anything big I am missing? I have had a hard time finding the A balance...sometimes 2 hr is too little (or can be just right) and sometimes 2.30 is too little. On the EASY board, some were thinking I needed to stretch his A time so I have tried that and his naps almost seem worse now.
