Blowing raspberries and spitting while eating

Any tips on discouraging a 6MO from blowing raspberries and spitting while eating solids (pureed food)?  I'm pretty sure she does it because she likes the feeling, rather than to get a reaction from me as she's not looking at me when she does it.  I have tried saying no (looks at me and laughs!), and waiting half a minute before starting feeding her again (does it again with the next mouthful).  She doesn't do it all the time, but when she does, it sure is messy!

I would perhaps just stop the meal, or wait before offerring it- not at ALL as a punishment, as that wouldn't be fair or make any sense as she won't understand- just that with Hamish if he does that sort of thing it means he's not humgry. At 6 months they don't need HEAPS of food- so you might find that if she's spitting it at one meal just offer at the next. It's all just exploration- but i just found that hamish was much less interested in exploring, and more interested in EATING when he was hungry...

She is just learning and having fun! If it bothers you, do as you are doing just stop for a bit and then offer again. It won't last long
