chewing the spoon!tips from other carrot-covered moms?
« on: July 13, 2012, 13:44:43 pm »
i have been giving my DD solids for a week now & we're getting on ok-ish!!!hard to know if she's taking much tbh!every time i go to take the spoon from the bowl, she wants to grab it & put it into her mouth herself...cue lots and lots of happy chewing on the spoon while most/all the mush goes on the walls/floors/me!any advice? i've tried giving her her own spoon to "play" with, but she just chews that one instead & i cant get ANY food into her mouth!at least when she's chewing my spoon, she's getting a little taste....

Sounds like she may do better with baby led weaning... my DS did the same thing and we abandoned the spoon quite early and did BLW instead ;)

Oh, and feed her outside if you can :P
