I stopped trying for four days as we were moving and so busy. She stopped taking it again. We have been trying again for five days.  This time she is just not having it.  Should I just try to give her all ebm in bottles for one full day?

She's a little small for this -- it can be rather traumatic for LOs, especially if she has no interest in taking it and will most likely end up very hungry and very mad!  I was able to get my dd1 to start taking the bottle again around her age by offering it every day before every feed (with only an ounce or so in the bottle) and when/if she refused, nursing as usual.  It took somewhere around 2 weeks, but she did eventually take the bottle like a champ, without any of the trauma of withholding food from her.  Then, you have to make sure that you keep giving the bottle regularly so she won't start refusing again.  They can get to the point of bottle refusal so quickly at this age!

Okay, I will keep trying. I am sure she I'll getit. Positive thinking.  :)

I have been giving her breast for a few minutes than trying the bottle for 5 minutes. Does this just confuse her?

I don't think so - my goal was just always not to upset her with the bottle sonic it works better for her to nurse first, that should be ok.  It's all about positive thinking.  ;)

So lo has learned to drain the bottle, but not by actually sucking.  She bites and chews on the nipple and the ebm comes out and she swallows.  It takes her a long time, about 15 mins or so for 25 ml.  Are we just going backwards or is this progress?  She looks darn cute doing it though, all smiles! :)

I think it's progress.  :)  At least you can leave without worrying about her starving, just as long as she doesn't try to bite and chew on your nipple.  Ouch!

Okay I think all progress has gone down hill.  Last two days she has been crying and pushing the bottle away.  My husband tried for a half hour today and she would not have it.  I am getting stressed!  :(

Any other suggestions that may help?

How old is she again? Can you try another bottle/nipple? sometimes a narrow base teat is better... but you can try a couple and see...

She is 16 weeks.  She seems to get more irritated with the bottle. I am going to buy some different ones tomorrow and see.  Fingers crossed! :)

It worked!!!  I tried in the car seat when she was really hungry.  She cried a bit at first but eventually took the whole bottle!  Let's hope it continues!  :)
