Starting EASY need support

Hi,
My lo is 5 months, ebf on demand.
We started EASY yesterday with my dh doing pu/pd.
He has been doing the shush/pat as before we would have trouble getting her off to sleep.
How long should you shush/pat before leaving?
At the moment lo is only sleeping about 1/2 hour. She is shattered! It's breaking my heart hearing her scream! :-[
She seemed to do well as day went on yesterday (started with 40 min) last night dh only had to pu/pd 3 times. It seemed to go belly up at 5am ish! Since then is only sleeping 1/2 hour.
I tried for 1 hour this morning and still couldn't get her to settle  :'(

Can you post your routine in an EAS format?  Just post what you day was yesterday and we can go from there.  So are you doing a combination of shh/pat and pu/pd or just pu/pd?  How long is it taking to settle now?
