7mth night waking again!
« on: August 01, 2012, 22:30:24 pm »
Hi ladies, my bubba is coming up 7 weeks old and has been waking in the night on and off for about a month now.  He's definately hungry and settles again after a bottle.   He's very active during the day.  He slept through from about 6 weeks (lucky us!).

A normal day as follows
6.30am wakes 180 mls formula
7.30 breakfast - appx 120gms cereal
8.30 - bed (approx 1 hour)
10am 10 mls formula
11am 120gms vegies or fruit
Noon - bed (approx 1 hour)
2pm 180mls formula
3pm bed (1 hour)
5pm dinner 180gms food (vegies, meat and fruit)
6pm bath
6.30 180 mls formula
7pm bed.

We used to dream feed but have dropped this a couple of weeks ago as it's made no difference to his wakings anymore.  I've tried bulking him up in the day with more food and formula but this hasn't helped either.

Any suggestions very welcome.

Thanks in advance
Rach and Harry x

Also....I've done a lot of scouting around and research on this....lots of routines recommend for him to be awake for longer during the day but no matter how much I try and entertain etc he REALLY wants to go to sleep after 2 - 2/12 hours max!

Have you tried bringing back the dreamfeed?  If he is waking out of hunger then I don't think much can be done other than to feed him IYKWIM.

He could be a little OT because of those short naps.  I would be tempted to push out those A times and try to get 2 x 1.5 hr naps.  Do it slowly and when I am extending A times I usually just walk around for an extra 10-15 min or so that way there is not to much stimulation.
