Not so great today...

3h30 A / 1h09 S with a cry out at 43 mins - woke not happy at all (but was also hungry I think)
3h A / 30m S - was yawning her head off before and felt I couldn't stretch her any further, but then woke up happy and played......

Oh well, back to our EBT (even though still a stupidly long A after 30 min nap) and fingers crossed she does a long night, try again tomorrow!  Can't work this out at all!!!

ugh...sorry you had a messy BT.since dropping the CN i've found it impossible to judge BT....i end up BFing to sleep/almost sleep more often than i care to admit, havign been sooooo careful not to all along it's so frustrating!i'm currently weaning her to bottles so dreading the time when BT BF changes to a bottle feed...another week or so....how long was your A before BT?

Too long to admit to!!!!  4h by the time I settled her - NOT good after a 30 min pm nap.  Fully aware I messed up today - poor thing was beside herself :(

Do you think the pm nap was OT or UT?  Can't make my mind up........would say UT from the happy wake (we don't get many happy wakes at the moment) but seems weird it was so short....

Sorry for the bedtime mess.  I hate those.

If I get a short PM nap, an hour after waking and feeding, I will put DS into the car and go for a ride.  He always falls asleep.  I find even if it's just for a few minutes, it helps get him to bedtime without being so OT he can't even calm himself down without screaming for 30 minutes.

I know this is not a solution and it's major APOPing, but I can't deal with those horrible OT bedtimes.  I have visions of me driving him for naps when he's 18.  LOL.

Thanks Jenn :)  Sadly DD hasn't fallen asleep in the car for nearly 3 months even when shattered.  She is one AP-resistant child!  (apart from BF ;))

Wow, a car-resistant baby.  Does she do stroller naps?  Mine doesn't, but I often see them at malls totally dead asleep with loud music and lights blaring around them.  I have baby sleep envy sometimes.

hmmm....ya,,usually 30mins are OT?she's just doing this deliberately to confuse you!!! ;)
i find that if she wakes happy from a short nap, she will stay resting in the cot for up to 20-30 mins, esp if i open the curtains & turn off teh white noise...i think it allows her a very low-stimulation for what should be sleeping-time & it gets us that bit closer to BT

hate days like this though-so disheartening!wish they just had a "sleep" button!!!!

Yes, I wish mine had come with a "factory reset" button so I plan to have his nights go from 9pm - 7am.
