Hi all. Hoping you can offer some advice.
DD2 is 9.5 months and for the last month or so, we have had some pretty ordinary naps. She was waking at 30 mins or 45 mins, so a little while back, I started to push her A time to 4 hours. I saw an improvement but she rarely did more than 1 hr 15.
She has recently learned to crawl, which may have been part of the problem. Now that she has mastered crawling, I have moved her back to 3 hr 45 mins A time (thinking that she is moving more) but things still aren't great. Plus, I'm finding it really hard to put her down for her afternoon nap (even if her am nap wasn't great). I'm often APOPing that nap.
Am I heading for 2-1? Should I be upping the A time again and even further?
She goes to sleep independently. Nights have been pretty good of late, with her only waking once (she is BF and I do a NF). My big problem with the naps is the only way to resettle her when she wakes early is on me. Which is fine when I am on my own (enforced sitting!) but not so easy when I have DD1 at home...
Here is today's routine so far to give you an idea of what is happening...
6.15am: WU
10am: Sleep for one hour
3pm: Sleep (I tried to get her into bed at 2.45pm but it took me 15 minutes to get her to sleep and had to resort to APing her). She slept for 25 minutes and woke up, wide awake. Eventually I got her back to sleep on me and she slept for another 40 minutes or so, waking at 4.15pm
7pm: Bed
Whaddya reckon? Any suggestions?
