I stayed with him, whispering and putting my hand on him. I tried to do little movements because I read that during nt they don't recogbize you and are actually afraid of you, because they don't know who you are. Then we waited. Sometimes, he woke himself, or I was so exasperate by the crying that picked him up and woke him, but this didn't work really.

A quick update on last night... another not so good night im afraid. Put DD to bed early (asleep by 6.40am) Heard nothing until 1.40am when she woke screaming. She was definitely awake this time as she was throwing herself about and her teddies out of the cot. I went in reassured her and laid her down, she settled for 5 minutes and then basically cried on and off for 2 hours, She woke for the day at 5.30am but again was still tired and fell asleep on me until 7am this morning. Im absolutely exhausted!

(((HUGS))) honey, it is really thought! All this seems developmental to me. It is probably linked to nursery and missing dad. The fact that is crying on and off also speaks about discomfort. Is she teething? Try to be strong and rest as much as you can. Take a nap when she does!

Thanks Barbara. Dont think she is teething but has been very fussy this weekend so could be. We are back to two hour wakings as of last night. I went in, reassured her and laid her down. She went straight back to sleep... shame I didnt lol!!!
