« on: September 12, 2012, 21:00:34 pm »
My son is almost 3 and he has been waking up EVERY SINGLE NIGHT crying for no reason. He wont calm down and if he does he ends up coming out and is awake for an hour or so. He cries for a drink, for a blanket, to go sleep in my bed... i dont know whats wrong but i do know that i wont allow him in my bed. I am due soon and dont need him there as well! He goes to bed at 6:30 ish and usually is up crying somewhere around 10 or 12. Please help!!!

that 'should' be ok...when did he give up the nap?
DS goes through developmental phases of waking at night since he dropped the nap and he was never a NW'er. It sounds like bad dreams - can he talk to you about it the next day?
Does he have a night light? Lovey?

He hasnt taken a nap in ages, i forget when he stopped but its been a while. When i ask him about it, he doesnt tell me he has any bad dreams, he just says he wakes up and want to come to my bed. Thats all i can get out of him. He has a night light also.
He just woke up again! seriously every single night! So strange! i feel like maybe b.c we used to go to him hes just used to it so now we just need to tell him to stop and leave the room and then hope he calms down..?

yes I think if it has become habitual then he probably does not try to re settle when he wakes but instead comes to you. I would try a gro-clock if he does not already have one and just keep putting him back to bed. A lot of mums have had success with a gate at the door.
