yes I know and that is what prevented me from doing set naps with DS, he just would not have handled it.

I have a feeling Oliver is touchy Claire - am I right?? What is your experience of setting?

It does sound a lot like teeth may be in the mix - are you medicating at all?

Personally I would wait a week or so to set if that is what you are going to do. If she is teething and touchy then I would go with it to a certain extent. I would work on pulling back some of the contact and sticking to 1 nap around 5.5 and then 5 A.

What do you think?

Hi there,

Yukky night again,

Nw at 10.30-11.30
3-5am

I am giving nurofen before bed as I HATE medicating when unsure (like everyone) but I can just see the cannines below gum, they are hardly visible and I don't even know if they have always been like that buy will do nurofen and calpol tonight

On the contact side, last night was our 2nd night of me comforting her in the cot as opposed to long cuddles, she doesn't like it all (lol) buy at the point when she got super upset last I picked up once and she imeadiatley calmed, this reassured me what was happening so back in she went!! But was proud as although it was a 2 hour stint, she did go back to sleep until 7.40am ( maybe the calpol on this nw helped as well)

So did a 5.5 A nap this am, and hells bells she woke at 45 mins I saw her sat in her cot she didn't imeadiatley start crying then she stood and cried out for me (not hysterical) I am wondering if thus was a touch UT???

I didn't pick her up!! Just comforted and resettled in her cot, it tool 8mins..(she was medicated prior to nap time)

Exhausted and miserable but clinging onto that small victory!!:)))

My plan in to wean contact on nw, then start on actual getting her into cot..... Eeeek that scares me!!!!

Hope all is well, thanks a million once again

canines are really hard, for many the hardest teeth...those long NWings sound like discomfort to me as long NWIngs are usually discomfort or UT and I am pretty sure she is not UT...

Same sort of night  with full meds so feel uncertain about teeth now.

Nw 10.30-11.30
Nw 3ish till 4.45.... The first bit of this  nw dd was not crying, walking around in her cot and chatting I didn't really know what to do her.... Continuing laying down or not? I stopped and waited until she cried and when she did, omg it became mamouth. Really hard as she was so so upset. She does have a cold that's started but I didn't think she felt "I'll" so I kept at it but she was really upset last night. Had to pu a couple of times to comfort.
She was up for the day at 6.30am and although I was aing for a 5.5A, we have just got back from
Playgroup and she was virtually asleep, she is out now in her cot at 4.5hr A! (11am)

Will let her sleep she is shattered then fx for cn later!!

Gw when possibly not a 100% well??????, maybe the cold us worse than I thought?

I think GW is fine if they have a cold, I would not advise WIWO but GW is very gentle. Having said that do what you feel comfortable with. If she is sick then do what you feel is right and we can work on the routine again once she is better xx

Ok, looks like bit more than a cold, she is needing to sleep every couple of hours so just gonna let her shake this. Don't think I couldn't pick her up knowing she is ill, but I DO need to sort it. Can I come back in a couple of days?
