Does Teething affecting milk intake?
« on: September 15, 2012, 14:34:28 pm »
I think she's actively teething at moment. Is it normal to be off milk feeds but not solids? She's has 3 8oz bottles-should I try feeding milk little and often or will that just encourage snacking?

Yes - totally normal! Try pain meds or teething gel just before a feed if you can to see if that helps. If not it usually only lasts a few days so I would just keep offering milk as normal, if she is eating solids and drinking milk it's fine for a few days. If it continues longer it may be worth getting her checked out - sometimes ear infections can be symptomless and put them off their bottles.
