Going from breast milk to formula??

My DD is 5 months and I am stopping breastfeeding gradually over the next few weeks. She now has 2 bottles a day but only takes 1-2oz (formula) at each feed. She goes 4 hours without a feed after but surely this isn't enough?

I worry about under or over feeding. Anyone been in similar situation?

Hi there!

Can you give us a bit more info please?  ;D

What bottles are you using, what formula and what flow teats? Does she have reflux or any other digestive issues? How is your EASY - is she sleeping well and napping well?

Yeah sorry. No medical issues if any sort. I an using breastflow bottles with a slow teat (waiting for medium flow teat to arrive). Also I am using aptamil the first stage one.

I an still in a process if getting her easy on track again (just getting got over a cold). She seems to be sleeping ok. Wakes for feeds in night just twice about 1 and 4/5 but I haven't weaned the night feeds yet.

I have tried avent and tommee tippee bottles but won't take them at all.

I would see how she goes with the medium flow teats - that should help her take more at a feed. Is she having any solids yet?

Ok thanks. Do you think maybe it's too slow for her so she is getting frustrated?

I have started solids but only once a day at the moment x
