I'd actually post on Sleeping For Toddlers if I were you.  No doubt there are lots of moms who've been through a similar situation that might be able to chime in! :)

It's very likely I'd be the only one confused by that ::), but thought I'd say something just in case.

Hi...so DH did his exam but DS2 has been sick since.  Now DH has to go away on business and when he gets back we've only got a week before the maid goes home for xmas for 3 weeks.  I'm wondering if we can sleep train at that stage...like you said it's not fair if we can't commit fully to sleep training, so... My question is this.  DS2 has developed a 6am waking (although I suspect it's more of a 10.25 hours after bedtime waking IYKWIM), which is fine, we can start the day at 6, I'm usually awake from 4.30 anyway.  But, with the maid away I won't get home from the school run till 9am, and I think DS2's A time is around 3h10 ish, so I'd be getting home right on top of naptime.  I'm sure this is a common complaint fir most people /who don't have the luxury of a maid!), so how would I / could I deal with that?  Thanks
