So are you happy with a 6 am WU  ??? Is getting him up at 6 on no nursery days to have consistency be something you want to do or would you rather try and extend WU  ??? I'm just trying to think of how you can get 2 different routines running, one where he is getting OT an then one where he will CU, because best will in the world he is going to be in an UT/OT loop, but if you can have some kind of plan in place, maybe he can start out at the beginning of each week on a even keel..KWIM Hun  ???

I'm thinking...

Nursery...

6 am WU

12.45 to 2.00 nap

6pm BT

Home...

6am WU

11 to 2.00/2.30 nap

BT 7 pm

This ^ obviously would be in an ideal world  ::) thoughts Hun  ???

2 different wu would be good but unrealistic I guess. My only concern is lunch on the days at home and I am not sure he will sleep that early- could I do 12-2:30/3 and bed and asleep by 7:30?

You could Honey, but I would say only if you got a 6.30 WU otherwise his day would be over 13 hours which almost always results in an OT night.x.

I used to do a good snack before nap or lunch if Sam was hungry enough. I'm not sure how you'll be able to extend that WU Hun, it's out of your hands really, because without EBT he will melt down.

I will try the EBT on nursery days and see how it goes to help avoid OT and see how he is at the weekend. He quite often has a good nap at the weekend and I have to wake him from his nap- should I let him sleep on to catch up?

I would allow up to 2.5 hours Honey. Good Luck, rooting for you  ;)

I hate the whole not knowing what to do for the best- we have not had a lot of luck with EBT in the past so I am a little nervous of making things worse when the last two mornings have been better.

As always thank you for your wisdom xx

It's tricky Hun, IME those whopper naps aren't needed too often before they affect night times, but as a rule of thumb I usually allow 3 days of it before capping at 2 hours.
