i'm gonna try cooking a spag bol but the recipe (AK) uses "passata"....the only ones i can find in Tesco seem to have salt/added herbs etc in them.are they ok to use? (clueless novice here!)

I would just use a tin of tomatoes and whizz it up in the blender
. I can't see that it would matter that much!

i've never had it! (i'm a veggie!)....which i just realised isn't a reason for not having tried it!!!!

Yeah try herbs and other flavours my lo has had all sorts thyme, oregano, garlic, ginger- no problems whatsoever ;-)

The Bunalun one is lovely - just tomatoes and organic. Widely available in Irish supermarkets, I think.
