How long can they mantra cry for? Have deciphered his-and he did it got over an hour in middle of night-never turned into a hard/I need you cry-seemed a long time-I checked he frequently and he was ok-just fussing. Is this too long?

It can take that long. Difficult to listen and not run in in the middle of the night but give it a few times (really listen to make sure you're hearing the mantra cry) and the time should reduce as he gets better at settling down. DS went for a long while the first night (stopped running in because he was getting more upset when I went in) and in 2-3 days, he made one noise and went back to sleep.

That's what he did! I checked incase he was wet or dirty and every time he got crosser! He then slept til 7:15 and is went down great after 2.5 hrs-no waking at 30/45/60 which was happening a bit! I'm v tired but tonight hoping will be less and will check once to ensure dry etc-does that sound right?

Yep, sounds fine :) It is definitely worth checking there's not something preventing him from settling, but also worth giving him the opportunity to settle if that's what he's trying to do, which is what this sounds like.

Not one waking! Other than early wake up at 5-but resettled till 7! What a difference-all because we didn't rush in the night before! Yeah! Long may this last-just gotta sort early wu now-but that seems much more manageable if he's slept thru! Thank you!
