Quotations

Hi there,

Can someone please explain how to highlight a portion of somebody else's post as a quotation in your own post.

I can see there is an 'insert quotation' option but when I copy and paste in between the 'quote quote' It adds anything I write after it as part of the quote.

I don't think I do it "right" but I click "quote selected" which quotes the entire post from the person, then I delete out what i didn't want, leaving the quote I did want in there, along with the "quote html", does that makes sense?!

Thanks Charlibob.  I've followed your advice above and it's worked

Perhaps someone else will tell you the proper way, but I like my way

Works fine for me too!

I just highlight the bit I want in the previous post and click on 'Quote (selected)' button and it puts everything I need into my reply (I use quick reply, don't know if it's different in normal reply)
