3am Night Feed to ween or not to ween?
« on: October 28, 2012, 02:51:42 am »
Hello,
I am a mother of 5.5 month old twins (born May 17th) and hear how everyone else's baby sleeps till 7am on EASY with the Dream Feed at 11pm. Well usually my boy will sleep thru but my daughter wakes at 3am. This week i am trying to only give 3 oz of a formula feed at this time and next week maybe 2, then nothing? They are on 4 hr day feeds of 5oz but when i am doing this 3oz the daughter cries after the bottle is done for 40mins!( I am surprized my son sleeps thru it). I go in the room 2 or 3x to PU/PD or just hand on her shoulder-no speaking..she finally tires herself to sleep.
Should i stick this thru & con't to wean?
I talk to a couple twin parents and the answer is split.

At this age, the night feed is still pretty normal, so I'd feed.

I wonder if those day bottles are a bit small... I breastfed, so not entirely sure but I thought by 5-6 months, most LO's are taking more like 7oz per bottle.

What's your day routine?

A NF is totally normal so i'd feed too.  Wondering the same as Bec.   How many oz is she taking in a day?  Is she draining all her bottles?
