Still stick with early bedtime. Remember he's still trying to catch up and worse case he lies there for awhile chatting to himself. Always err on the side of caution. So do a bedtime no more than 4 hours later.

okay, so in bed for 6:15, sound asleep at 6:30pm - without me!

Had a NW at about 12:15am.  DH was watching TV and went in and picked him up...and then started chatting to him?!?!?!?

Anyway, I went in and put him back in his crib and left. He went back to sleep. I thought we were in for a long NW as he was wide awake looking at me when I put him down but he sorted himself out.

I heard him about 5:40am but left him - it was all quiet until 6:00am on the dot.  Not sure how much he slept from 5:40 onwards - likely just dozing.

So, 11hr night...

He was 4 1/2 hrs to BT last night which it too much I know. Going to try and get him in bed asleep for 6/6:15 latest to try and get a bit later WU and no NW...6:30 is my ultimate goal...

At what point can I start to push his BT a bit?  I guess not until I get a reliable 11/11.5/12 hours per night?

Right!

I would give it at least a solid month after you are completely on one nap and the nap lengths are nice and solid, wake ups are happy and things are ticking along.

Okay..back with another question...

We've been doing pretty good.  DS has been falling asleep on his own without me in the room/at the door for about a week!!!
Have had a few STTN, and 1 quick NW (where I've been able to go in resettle and leave)...
WU have been OK - not great, but OK.

Just wondering if a LO can be SUPER sensitive to OT?  Last night I had a feeling it would be an OT night b/c DS feel asleep within about 5 minutes of me leaving the room. Usually, he takes around 15-20 min of chatting, mucking about to fall asleep and we get a much better night.

Last night, NW at 12, 2 and up for the day at 5:35am...

He had been sick on the weekend so could still be recovering and didn't sleep very well then....I know it takes a while to get out of the OT debt and into the positive sleep territory and am just wondering if my DS is supersensitive to being OT???
