I remember you being pretty hesitant about that, you both have come a long way.
We have. It is a good feeling. However our days are just LOUSY! We have had a TOTAL of 1hr 25 minutes of day sleep. She will still have 2hr45 minutes to do after a 25minute nap just to get to 5:30 BT!!!
Bumped to 3hr45 minute A (!!!!) and will hold it for a few days but got a 1 hour nap again this morning. Tried everything to get her back to sleep after the 25 minutes but she wouldn't have it. Even fed her! And I know she wan't hungry because she had JUST finished her lunch when I started winding her down! And she ate half of an avacado and some cottage cheese. Now this was partly my fault because we were all outside playing with DS and she was in the carrier alot. She needed some wiggle time so I set her down with some stuffed animals to play with while I set DS up on quiet time. By the time we did WD and she screamed and carried on for 20 minutes before going to sleep she had done a 3hr25A. After a 1 hour nap! Have been doing around 3 after our morning nap. The longest morning nap she has had in a while has been 1hr7. !
Shockingly enough (
) I have some questions.
Katherine, did I remember correctly your DD doing around 2 hours of sleep when she was on 2 naps.( Stumbled across this in the 2-1, fun fun, naps section) WHat sort of naps? WHat sort of A at this age? Would you mind to share a bit with me? Am wondering if she and my DD are similar.
I have gone over and over the sample routines for this age and various things and still aren't getting it right so I am wondering if I am heading the wrong way with her. A lot of the sample routines have LO's of 8 months barely doing 3 hours. Is there a possibility her 1 hour nap is really OT? Except she is nearly 9 months. And nothing like starting your day with a 27 minute nap if I am wrong!!!
That's all for now, thanks as always for all your help. Just wish we could start getting soome sleep around here!
She is spinning around on the floor right now looking just adorable, I feel bad for feeling the way I do right now, but come on Ivy, you are almost 9 months old, sleep!!!! I am sure I am doing something awfully wrong for our sleep to be this muddled still. But I have NO idea where.......
