Enough vs too much is the question here ;)

Tricky when you've got the reflux in the mix too :( I just waited the 3hr minimum and bicycled legs, did tummy massage, etc. to get gas out and it did help Logan (miserable few days though!)... but if T's fluxing as well, that's maybe not the best approach. 6hr blocks should be enough that you see some improvement in a few days though.

The dairy ED is still going ok, right?

You are NOT a rubbish mum, Sara. You are a great mum - you know there's something wrong and you're trying to figure it out and fix it :-*

Definitely his gut is not in best condition if that's what's coming out, yk? Can you express and bottle feed so you *know* every feed is balanced with plenty of hindmilk - just for a few days? It was tough with just L - can't suggest it will be easy with Z to look after too, but 3-4 days would probably be enough to give you your answer re: foremilk overload at this time. :-\

I haven't had time to wash my face today let alone eat lunch or brush my teeth :'( how on earth will I have time to express. z hates it and cries. DH is home late tonight. I just feel like its all to much right now. I'm so tired, and I have an allergy to certain uv sun rays that has flared all over my arms and I'm hot, itchy and sore from it.

I really want to BF but I'm starting to loose the will to persevere ATM...

T only feeds a few mins a time. Maybe this is party f the problem? - ugh

Huge hugs, honey. Wish I could come to NZ for my christmas hols and help out.

BTDT :( It sucks.

Forget about expressing - that's clearly not going to work. It was really hard to fit it in with just L, so totally understandable that you can't with Z as well :-*

Maybe a few days of neocate may be helpful - your supply should drop a bit if you feed less for a while and you can give his gut a chance to heal and then mix feed or go back to BFing. I'll look for the silver lining in every cloud ;)

Hang in there xx

Big hugs, Sara.  You are NOT failing.

I keep saying this to people, but if you were failing, you wouldn't care about his tummy or his reflux and you wouldn't be trying to do the absolute best you possibly can for him.

Short feeds could be causing issues, especially with an oversupply.  And have totally BTDT with the no shower/teeth brushing scenario.

Would you be able to actually see you doctor about this rather than relying on the nurse and her suggestions (it doesn't sound very pro-BF to just offer formula :-\)?

I've already talked to the dr about it all and next step is to go soy and wheat free but really I just don't think I can do it. :( my aunt who is a plunket nurse mentioned he may just be allergic to my milk and that can happen sometimes.

I can't even tell when he is hungry - so I can't even feed on demand because he always shows hunger signs but rarely screams for the breast YK? Ie he can be consoled in other ways. I do wonder if he's sick :-\ I have an awful virus and feel terrible but visibly look ok ie gland up, sore throat, ears etc.

Ladies I'm getting the neocate today. T is worse :( so I'm going to try it. Few Qs though.
I have a manual breast pump. I want to express when I can so I can go back if this doesn't help. I know it's a risk I won't be a le to but may as well try. BUT Z hates the pump ::) plus I'm low on free time.

I'm thinking I can pump first thing in the morning. When Z naps, in the evening maybe x2 ???
Would this work? - how much should I aim to pump and should I do both breasts at each session?
