Hugs and support needed please

 :'( :'(

My eleven week old is ebf and has always been fab and is growing fantastically probably a little too much almost 17lb now (was 9/2 when born)

We tried the odd bottle of expressed milk from about week 5 so hubby could give it ago and because my sis in law had had trouble introducing her son to a bottle later on.

My lo took a bottle well and probably had about 1 a week at the most so didn't think much of it was concentrating on getting him out of a snacking habit.

Then whilst out for coffee with a friend i gave him a bottle - well he went mental hated it refused it point blank gagged screamed.

Basically has done this ever since ( tried now every day for 3 days for 3 feeds a day)
Manged to get him to just play with the bottle in his mouth chewing it etc so it isn't so scary for him.

Problem is he is such a fussy eater and I have a strong let down so we get in a bit of a mess when feeding so doing this in public isn't the greatest. He gulps noisily and arms fling everywhere and then he pulls off and I spray about 10 foot in all directions!!! It's not exactly discreet!!

Basically please tell me he will get the hang of it again if I keep going!!!

I'm trying everything suggested on here he is just a snugly mummy's boy so I feel awful that I am forcing him to do something just because I don't want to bf in public all the time.

Firstly, big *hugs*  You're doing the right thing to take it steadily and not force it on him.  When we needed to get DS to take a bottle, I think it took a good week or so for him to accept it again.  Something that worked for us was BF when he was a bit sleepy and then slipping the bottle in when he was relaxed.
