Weaned early - when to introduce meat and cereals?
« on: November 25, 2012, 17:41:00 pm »
I started weaning DD at 4.5 mo.  She is now on 3 pureed meals a day - fruit for breakfast, veg for lunch and tea.

When should I start introducing meat, fish and cereals?  She's now just over 5.5 mo.

She's EBF, though I want to start weaning her onto formula (tricky because she is CMPI it seems).  She has 5 daytime feeds and one or two overnight.

Meat is a first food in Canada because of the iron content... fish is generally recommended closer to 10 months... and cereal can be started any time as well.
