Ladies things are weird....if you have a sec here's my thread in CRC GS ???
Just wondering if I had another problem ie snacking, or another bit of a feeding strike from pain?

honestly that's what my son ate when he was that age. He didn't start drinking more than that till five months. How much was he eating before. also his reflux could be flaring so that's all he'll take before having some pain. doesn't sound like snacking.

Thanks Hun, I didn't feel it was snacking or he would want it more regularly aye? - but he was having 4-5 oz bottles before this GS ( i think it's a GS as he hovered 5/6 oz bottles and fed 3 x in the night) it's just now he's eating less.
Sounds like flare up as result of GS right?

Could also be a low appetite phase after the GS? M seems to be a roller coaster in terms of appetite and often after GS he seems just 'full' (and now that he's not refluxing I can see it's really just appetite whereas before I'd always think it was a flare).

Ok so home now and mum saw what he was doing on the bottle and thought he had a sore throat. It's like he wants it but it hurts and he gulps and fusses ::)
We took him to a/h and they checked him. No infection but possibly a virus. His nappies aren't very wet :-\
after 4 hrs he took 2 oz :( will see how tonight goes.

Sounds like a reflux flare... Give it a few days see if it evens out. If not maybe a meds increase?

Last nightmy mum came to help :) she got him asleep at 7 and finally he had a good night. 1 NW at 11.45 and had 5oz. Woke at 6 I got in quic to feed while drowsy and he had 5 more and drifted back to sleep. :D

Siobhan I keep thinking it can't be reflux then it must be reflux because this behaviour on the bottle is so diff to Zs on the breast. I think your right though. Pain meds seemed to help! We're on max losec dose already. :-\

I hear you. I think because BM is thinner it may cause a different reaction? I have no idea. I would say just treat the symptoms for now and if he continues then maybe try a med change.  Losec I"m not sure what that is would it be similar to Zantac here in the US? It NEVER worked for Liam we went to Zegerid and never looked back. It was night and day.

Losec = Prilosec here in the chilly north :)

Next step is Nexium here...
