45 minute nap...OT or UT?
« on: December 28, 2012, 14:47:42 pm »
My 7 week olds first two naps have turned into him waking at 45 minutes.  I can usually get him back down with pat/shh and giving him his pacifier, but it varies how long he will stay down after that.  Is he over or under tired with the 45 minute naps?

/Hi hon- most likely undertired with a 45 min nap. Try upping the A time by 5/10 or 15 mins to see if that makes a difference.

Thanks!!  I put him down after an A of an hour ten this morning and he slept almost two hours!  Is the first A of the day usually a little shorter?

We dealt with 45 min  naps from 3-5 months and I'm pretty sure they were UT for us!

Congrats on a good nap this morning! :)

It can be a little shorter- it took us about 6 months to work that out though!! The first A can be shorter - but also babies are more likely to do one long nap in the AM and then shorter naps through the afternoon.
