just offering some more hugs and support for the GW - pleased to hear it's going well so far!

Oh and I love the idea of the wall night light on a timer for reading. Will store that idea away somewhere for possible future use with L... :)

HI Ladies, a little update. Sam has a cold so he is extra tired right now, but 2 days this week at BT I have told him I would go to fill his juice cup and when I came back he was already sleeping. So tonight as he has been really tired this afternoon I put him down 30 mins early so that I could afford an experiment. I did the juice thing, but he called me back to wipe his nose. Then I said I was going to put my PJ's on and I would just be next door. Then the 3rd call back I told him I was going to take my make up off and I would come back in 5 minutes, to which he said "Okay" then I sat on my bed where I am now. I have just been in to check and he is asleep  ;D Whoop Whoop!!!!!!! That is our first ever WI/WO success, and it was only 15 minutes from lights out to him being asleep. So I suspect he didn't really lose the ability to SS, I don't think, but rather just wanted me there, not needed me there, like a power struggle, I don't know  :-\ or maybe it's just good old life saver GW saves the day again. I think I will continue with WI/WO now every sleep and if he needs me to go back in and stay ie: he is getting worked up which results in less night sleep then I will sit in the door way. But I figure better to try it every time in case we have continued success.

You never feel any less chuffed when you achieve your goal LOL  :D

Now I just hope that introducing the 'promised' 'Magic Star light' won't open a new can of worms. I am tempted to not mention it if he forgets, but that is unlikely for my spirited little man who NEVER forgets a thing LOL  :)

I thought about starting a new thread for this, but then I figured maybe some other desperate Mother  ;) debating the TV thing will follow his thread and HOPEFULLY have success too  :-X :-X :-X Oops jinxing it, best go now  :)

x.

Glad that things are going back to normal. If the promised star light does become an issue, you can just have it on for 5-10 minutes and put him down a little early - they have no concept of time at this age, so you can get away with it! :D
