Not trying to worry you but my twins both started NW right at 23 months and still have them sometimes.  I guess it's just something going on at that age.  even my really good sleeper twin still has them some.  We have had a horrible time with EM NW and OT for a few months now.  I know how you feel.  I tell my DH all the time how much I dread BT.

Thanks,

I am sorry to hear about the twins. How old are they now? One of my biggest concerns with these NW is that I am seven months pregnant and I know what is coming my way. It drives me crazy to know that just a few months she would be a sound sleeper all through the night and we are now having 3-4 NW every day. Having this on top of the new baby scares me a bit. I worry about my sanity as I get quite moody when tired. Not sure what to do...it will be four months since her perfect sleeping pattern was disrupted and no matter what we can't seem to get it on track...

It is 4 am...we are on the fourth EW tonight. She is now settling much faster but having more NW than before...

WU at 5.50.
Nap at 12.50
WU at 2.30
We headed for bed at 6.40 (aiming for 7 hoping to move the EW a bit later) but only went down at 7.20

We have been trying very unsuccessfully to move the WU by a few minutes every day but it bites back by sleeping later and ends up waking earlier. Please help.

Could she be OT? Teething?

I would concentrate on the NWs first as it's possible that by trying to push WU out, you are inadvertently encouraging the NWs.

My DS has always been an early riser - nothing I can do about it! I ended up bringing bedtime forward so that he could get enough sleep.

The night we had 4 NW was very possibly teething. We have not been very good at spotting it because they come out super quick and most times the teeth came out without complains nor painkillers.

We have tried everything but I think the root of the problem is that she is fighting BT always so even if we head at the right time she fights it and we have been struggling to actually get her to sleep at the time she is supposed to.

I am wondering if we should stop capping the nap. Some posts ago we were worried because she was not sleeping the usual 11 hours at night but she was having really long naps (sometimes 3 hours) so someone suggested capping them. We capped them down to 2 and there seemed to be some improvement but nothing significant so a further 15 min cap was suggested. We have been capping the nap to 1.45 mins for the past couple of months but she is still not sleeping 11 hours. She has pretty much stuck to 10-10.30 hour-night sleeps (minus NW which only occasionally are long). I am wondering if we should let her have her whole nap?

The other thing is that we have a hard time dividing A time. In the morning her A time is closer to 6.5 to 7 which turns her afternoon into a 4.5 to 5 A time. Could that be the problem?
