20 months gone off evening bottle
« on: January 12, 2013, 18:04:51 pm »
Hi ladies

Just a quick question, my LO is 20 months and has gone off his evening bottle. He used to have 7 oz at 6:15 before bath but is just not interested. He has 8oz in the morning + milk with cereal, yoghurt and fromage frais and often cheese during the day. Should I just let him naturally drop it?

I would. I know here they recommend you start weaning bottles from 1YO so I would just offer a drink in a sippy and let the bottle go.

He loves water and much prefers it to milk at the moment, so I would prefer him to drink and have water rather than refusing milk KWIM

Yeah, let him drop it. My DS dropped about the same age, and the am bottle went a few months before.

I've just took DDs off her at 2.5 and just put the milk in a sippy instead. But different things suit different LOs, hey. DS had no bedtime drink for about 2 years and now has a milky hot chocolate before bed.
