Hi,

We started DD on the 3-2 transition because she started having EWs and night wakings and was giving us more 45 min naps. She was close to the 3 hour mark (15-20 min shy), so, against what I think I should have done, we just went straight to 3 hours. I think we're dealing with sleep deprivation a bit, but I think she's close. She started showing signs of going to 2 naps at 5 months old. (Our DD1 was always ahead of the normal time frame for recommended sleeping.)

The last few days have looked like this.

5:30am: Peeping - give her the paci
5:45/6:30am: Talking or upset. If she's talking, I let her be, if she's upset I get her up for the day.
7am: Nurse
9:30am: First nap, I start her routine at 9:20am
10:20/10:35am: Up from first nap. Groggy, not super happy to be awake but awake
11am: Nurse
1:10pm: She's so tired that I put her down at about 1:15pm, not making it to 1:30pm. (Is that throwing her off too?)
2:20/30pm: Awake, groggy and not happy to be up. (During this nap, I've had to give her her paci some times to try to get her back to sleep.)
3pm: Nurse
5pm: Nurse
6:15pm: We put her down for the night to try to re-coup some of that sleep. She is calm and quiet until we get her in the bedroom for the routine and then she starts sceaming/crying until she goes down. Sometimes rocked to sleep, sometimes not.
7pm: She'll sometimes wake up at 7pm to nurse and go right back to sleep
12am: Nurse
3am: Nurse

Other notes: she just started solids and is doing great and seems to love them. The solids don't seem to be the problem. She is waking up more to nurse at night, I can't seem to figure out how much she needs to eat. Any suggestions?

Thanks! I think I need to just re-start and keep the CN for now. I feel so bad for her not getting the sleep she needs :( I don't want to stress too much over this because she'll probably just be dropping a nap in 6 months anyway!

Going through same problems but I haven't had the nerve to cut her to two naps although I want to.  She will only have one nap over an hour for the whole day.  Thank you for your warning
