Could be that you just have high sleep needs babies :)

Give the one hour a try and see if she sleeps better for you.  Are the 30 min naps restless?

If she wakes early, I would start your next A time from when she wakes up since she is uber sensitive to A times :)

Yes, she looks restless during the nap. I tried the 1 hr A time and she couldnt fall asleep for the next 40 min! I was finally able to get her to fall asleep on me and the transferred to bed. So when she sleeps for 30 min, I shouldn't try to extend the nap (since I am never really successful) and just start counting the A of 1 hr from there?

Any time she takes a really short nap, try to extend for 10 mins or so.. if she isn't gonna go back to sleep, you will know by then.

Get her up and keep a very close eye on her watching for tired signs - put her down as soon as you see some.

If she wouldn't go to sleep at 1 hr of A time, try 1 hr 10 mins (but not after a shorter than 90 min nap).  If she has a nice nap, go ahead and push her A time to 1 hr 15...

I tried the 1 hr A time and she couldnt fall asleep for the next 40 min!

She was probably undertired and then became overtired by the time she did fall asleep...

How was her nap?

Ugh - every single nap was only 30 min long with me trying to get her to nap for 30 min each time. And I tried keeping each A time no more than 1 hr. Shh/pat doesnt work for extending the nap - only holding her on top of me and letting her fall asleep while I pat, works

Alright hun... we know she has some  awful OT happening now so I am not at all surprised she needs to be APOPd now... can you just APOP for a couple of days to get some sleep into her??  Do you have a carrier like an Ergo or a wrap?

ok so for the past 2 days I did just that APOP to get her to sleep because it started to affect nights. Today, I have DH home to look after DS so I can spend time with DD and her naps. I decided to try method#1 of w2s for naps. I start to pat her at 30 min mark when she first stirs and continue patting through all of her jolts  for the next 30 min. Is that correct? Am not APOP here?Meaning won't she get used to me patting?

Patting can become a prop if you don't slowly wean it... generally, the idea is that you pat/shush less and less over time as she learns to sleep on her own :)
