19wo is it sleep regression?
« on: January 30, 2013, 02:11:27 am »
My LO is now 19 weeks. She started sleeping through quite early on but for about the past 3 weeks she has woken religiously at 4am and tonight has even woken at 1.30am.  She is a reflux baby and at imes its been very difficult to keep her on a schedule but Here is a typical daily routine:-

0400 E
0500 S

0830 E
0915 A
1030 S

1130 E
1215 A
1330 S

1530 E
1600 A
1730 S

1830 E
1915 A (bath)
1930 E
2000-2030 S

2230 DF

This is a typical day nap time sand hence opine cn vary but she has always been very difficult to get don for naps. She oes sometimes have a good 2 hour- ish nap first thing though.

Also the sleep regression seems to coincide With her going to bed earlier we used to fight to get her to sleep all evening until she caved in about 10ish. Now she goes to bed at a more reasonable time but wakes at 4 am.

Is she on meds for the reflux?  How do you feed her, BF or FF?  There is often a GS at 17ish weeks, so my guess is that's why she started waking.  Totally normal.  But, she doesn't go back to sleep after the feed?  Does she seem to be in discomfort?  It's possible that after the 4mo GS, she needs a med adjustment to help the reflux.

The daytime routine looks fine to me, if I'm reading it right.  She might need a small bump in A time to closer to 2h15min if she's fighting naps and taking some shorter ones.  That might help the EW as well.
