OK, so this morning she woke again at 5am, I resettled her with dummy and patting, took 1hr, she was going in and out of sleep the whole time. Finally asleep at 6.11am. Woke at about 6.45-6.50am.

I tried to extend the 1st A time to 2.10hrs but after about 1.30hrs she was cranky so I tried distracting her with a walk in the garden (anything really to at least get to the 2hr mark. I put her in her cot after the 2hr A time and she instantly started crying. I left for about 5 mins and then it started to exculated, I tried shh/pat nothing, picked her up to try and calm her then tried again, the only thing that seems to calm her at the moment is the dummy (she never really liked it before). After 10 mins of calming, she slept for 1.5hrs.

Second nap was 2hr A time (had to use the dummy again) and she is still asleep.

She is just very cranky at the moment. Is this an age thing???

Ok, so this waking has been happening for awhile now. This morning she woke at 4am and was talking, trying to get back to sleep. I left her for nearlly an hour as she wasn't crying. At 5am I got up and feed her, she took the whole bottle and then I had to put her back to sleep and she was asleep at 5.30am. She woke at 7.10am, and refused her morning bottle and only ate 60mls.

Yesturday when she woke I resettled without a feed and it took over an hour. and she woke at 6.45am and dran her whole morning bottle. Should I feed her when she wakes at 4-5am? Or just resettle?

By all means, if a feed settles her back to sleep and you all get more sleep - then do it :)
It does sounds like she is still a bit UT (because there is just chatting at night, no crying) and if you get a good night, then I'd try the 2:10.

Yesterday was good during the day. She woke at 7am had a nap at 9.15-11.10am then another nap at 1.15-3pm and then cat nap at 5-5.30 bed at 7.30pm. But she woke at 3am chatted and took 40mins to fall back asleep. Then woke at 4.15am and I left till 5am and I resettled with dummy. Asleep at 5.20 then woke at 6am.

Iam really tired and hoping this is just a phase.

She is 4.5 months. She woke at about 6am this morning then went back down at 8.10am slept for 40mins, church behind us made noise that woke her. I resettled only took 5mins and she slept another 40mins. She only has a 40mun sleep cycle.

Let's see how the next nap goes. I don't think she is undertired. As she has been having good naps lately and wakes up happy. Plus she is only really getting 3-4hrs day sleep.

Second nap was 2.05hr A time and she woke after 40mins, resettled took 5-10mins (this is with dummy).

Yesterday I did exactly the same timings and she never woke at the 40min mark. I don't know what's going on???

So after I resettled after the second nap she slept for another 40 mins. Third nap was excatly the same, shortened the A time to 1.45-1.50hr and she woke after 40 mins, tried to resettle, she was dropping in and out of sleep, so I left the room and she didn't resettle. Got her up. Might have to do an EBT but that will probably make her wake early in the morning.

How can 2 days be completely different??? I don't think she has a dependency with the dummy, cause each time she woke she had the dummy in her mouth, it didn't fall out.

EASY is not a schedule, it's a routine, so you should be expecting every day to look a bit different. Perhaps she was more OS on the day she woke up after 40min, perhaps she had a better night before and needed more than the usual A... there are many factors that can influence your day.
The best thing to do is just to stick with it for now, keep the same A that you are doing. But if you see that you get more chatty NW or EW then I really do think she is UT and is ready for a little bit more A time. Either this, or the chatty NW is due to OS.

I've been doing the extended A times for awhile now. Nearly 2 weeks, sometimes getting good naps sometime short naps. And the EW has been happening the whole time. I have to pat her right to sleep, cause if I leave her she will chat for hours. She is having her 9-10hrs sleep and then waking so very hard to get back to sleep.

That still sounds UT to me. I would work on upping the A again by 10min.

Ok so this morning she woke at 5.45am. I left her till 6am in which she didn't cry or go back to sleep. We got up at 6.15am feed at 6.30am. She went down for her nap at 8am. So that's 2.15 A time. She woke at 40mins. I got her back to sleep for 10mins then she woke. Could get her back to sleep so hot up for quite play in her room, she started to get cranky right away, so I tried to put back asleep. Had to rock her and she has been asleep for another hour and has slept through her feed at 10.30 am. It's now 11am. It's like she is catching up on her sleep. Because the days that I get her back to sleep at 5-5.30. She wakes at 6.45-7am and is fine for the day.

She is on solids in the morning. Should I introduce a dreamfeed?

Does she STTN? I don't think it's hunger that wakes her up so early, otherwise she'd cry for you as soon as she wakes up. I would say the EW is routine related.

I don't think it's hunger issues either. I have tried the A time of 2.15hrs and sometimes I get 40 min naps, other days I get 1.5hr-2 hr naps. This morning she woke at 5am again =( and we tried to shh/pat, but nothing, I was so tired that I rocked her to sleep and she slept till right on 7am. I think cause she has just started to roll (yesturday) and she is more aware of her hands it is keeping her awake.

Iam hoping it will sort it's self out soon, as the early mornings are starting to kill me. Other than this EW everything is going well.

Getting sometimes 40min naps with this A but more often full naps is good!
Maybe the rocking at 5AM has become a prop? No judging there, just a thought :).
Developmental milestones usually effect sleep, but if it's that then it shouldn't be a reason soon when it's not so exciting ;).
