Poops are normal. He is very happy and smiley when I go to him in the morning, and just seems excited and wanting to move around. That's the feeling I get about why he doesn't drink a lot for the first feed. But I'll try that and see how it works. Thanks!

Fingers crossed!  I did DDs first bottle in her room from about 6/7 months of age...

Good luck, I found Z needed to be fed in a dark room after his naps etc around 6 mths too, far too interested in looking around otherwise! X
