16 week old night waking.
« on: February 05, 2013, 07:00:42 am »
Hi, my DS2 is 16 weeks old and he doesn't miss a feed, he feeds every 3/4 hours round the clock. Is this normal at this age, I would expect him by now to miss the 2am one at least. He was three weeks early, I don't know if this makes a difference? I was also treated with DS1 as he slept through at 10 weeks. I'm slightly concerned he wakes because I allow him to as I worried about him waking DS1. Also I am aware they have a big growing spurt around this age but he hasn't started waking again, he always has. I was thinking of reducing his 2am (approx) bottle to 1/2oz to see if I can wean him of it!

Any experience or ideas gratefully received. I don't mind him waking I just feel that by now he ought to miss one feed and I don't want to be creating a habit!

Also just thought he is just switching 4 hour daily feeds.

Thank you  :)

Pretty normal I think, though my experience is with BFing... Can you post your EAS and what your nights look like?  He may well drop a feed or extend the time between feeds after the 4 month growth spurt.
