BF time is also very short (3-5mins) during the day.
I might be wrong but at this age that's not so unusual.  They can be very efficient feeders by now but also very easily distracted.  My 8 month old will sit about 'feeding' (she's not, she's just having a cuddle) for a solid 15 minutes unless her brother is about and then it's 2 minutes, have a look and see what he's up to, another 2 minutes, another look, and maybe another two minutes.  So perhaps don't worry about the duration of feeding.  :)

Can I ask, and sorry if you've already been asked or already said, why is weight a concern? Did someone else tell you it was or did you and your wife feel it was?
*Anne*, loving mama to a honeybee (2010) and a sweetpea (2012).  BF for 4 proud years.

We give formula with cereal (~20,30ml). But we don’t know if this will decrease mom’s supply or not.

If you are worried about that, can mom not pump and use that milk in the cereal?

Yeah. Just that she never drinks much from bottle and the BF time is also very short (3-5mins) during the day. At night, it’s longer (15-20mins) but we never figure out if she actually sucks and eats effectively, or it’s just for comforting.

That's exactly how my DD fed at this age, super quick during the day but about 15min at night because she was sleepy and didn't suck as hard.

We also had to fatten up our DD and I remember sticking cream and butter into everything also gave her lots of meat and cheese.

Could you not get a 2nd opinion about your LO at another clinic? I found that some Drs reduced me to tears accusing me of not feeding my baby. We finally found one that we like and who actually has some constructive advice.

About the bottle, have you tried dream feeding? Also, like others said, play around with the temperature, my LO has to have a very warm bottle but a cold sippy cup, same contents.
