Is she 100% over her illness now?
I know my DS takes a good length of time to fully recover from sickness and meanwhile his sleep is disturbed and he is a grouchy boy even though the bug is gone yk?

Perhaps you're right.im being impatient!i just feel like
it's been months since she last did a decent nap at home.
She woke with 2red cheeks.im kicking myself i didnt med.
She didnt seem to be teething when she was up though-I
find it impossible to know when to med, tbh.

It's hard I know.  My LO has been teething molars for the longest time and I don't see any cutting, I think most of us struggle to know when to give meds and don't want to give too frequently, but at the same time don't want them in pain :(

just feel like
it's been months since she last did a decent nap at home.
I'm not going to go back and look, but I have a feeling she napped almost 2 hrs at home not so long ago.

Give her a few more days, meds if you suspect teeth, and see how it goes again.  I honestly believe set naps and BT are the way to go at this age even if it takes some time to settle in and possibly move the nap a little later or BT earlier to find the right 'set' time.

I know what you say is true!just having a hard time
myself with morning sickness thats lasting all day&im so
exhausted by3pm every day,i was so hoping we'd have put
things right by now!im thinking of doing a slightly later nap-she
always had a longer AM than PM.
Ps-you're right-she did do a 2hr nap last sun,but only
cause we gave meds!does that count?!

A 2 hr nap is a 2 hour nap meds or not.
So sorry you are suffering with morning sickness. Mine lasted all day too but I was very lucky that I didn't throw up, just got the nausea.  it has got to be so draining on you :(

Hope all of your LO's get better soon. No stomach bug here but a 3 week cold that turned into an ear infection and sinus infection...no fun!

Sorry to hi-jack Happy but Creations I read that you had a rough 2-1 transition and naps didn't lengthen for awhile. Based on what you wrote my DS sounds like yours and I was wondering if you could tell me how your transition went so I may know what to expect! I am thinking DS will do about an hour on 1 nap (if even) most days until we get settled in but he rarely has EVER done over 1h30m in a nap so that is the end goal I will be shooting for with almost 11 hours at night (he hardly EVER does more than 10.75 but usually just around 10). I posted on the 2-1 board too but was just interested in your personal experience. I have to start with smaller goals or I will end up super disappointed but I am confident we will get there someday...or at least hopeful :)

Thanks!

Same thing with today's nap-woke crying after 65mins
but self-settled&is still asleep now.the difference
today is that i gave her meds before the nap.does
that mean discomfort was waking her?or OT?

Hi Katie - I PMed you to keep Happy's thread clear ok xx

Happy - sounds like discomfort and the meds took the edge off just enough for her to resettle.  Sorry, teething is awful and totally wrecks all our best plans on routine and nap transitions.
I'd medicate before nap and BT for a few days. xx

Lol!when oh when?!
It'll be interesting to see how tomorrow goes.
Im seeing a pattern the past few weeks of the
naps shortening as the week progresses.

Great news Happy! :)

Oh vaccines, they always messed DS up.  Even two weeks after the vaccine he would show side effects.  have meds ready just in case.  Hope she just sleeps it off though!  FX
