Could be OT or discomfort perhaps?  How have naps been?

hit or miss, yesterday he did two good naps, about  an hour and 10 and an hour and a half and went to bed at 645 and was still up at 11 15 and then 3 and then 6..
What do you think about nursing him the first time he wakes, if it has been four hours and then just doing pu pd until the morning?

Hi there
I've just read your post and i could have wrote it about my lo except mine is formula fed.
I am by no means an expert but through trial an error i did something that made a huge difference. I fed our lo at 10 to 6 but still kept the usual bedtime routine. I found that although my lo isnt starving in the night i think its enough to wake him every hour from about 11. It worked last night so i'm going to do the same tonight and see what happens.
Sorry if you think i gatecrashed your post. x

Not gatecrashing at all pinkladyangel!  It's great that everyone can share ideas :)

sleeplessinFredonia - you could try your plan (it's effectively where a DF would be) and see if that helps?  How did you handle those NWs every 2h?

Thank you to both of you, I will take any and all suggestions! I had my dh do pick and put down, so now he is as tired as I am, but I am just trying anything at this point.
Pinkladyangle, do you mean you did feeding at 10pm and 6 am? I will try anything! Thank you for sharing your advice

No sorry. Didnt explain to well. Its lack of sleep that does it lol.
He feeds as normal during his waking hours 7am, 11am, 3pm & 7pm. Then on top of that i feed at  6pm. I dont do dream feed as he sleeps to deep and will only take a couple of oz.

Ok how is this for strange-for three nights, I fed him around 7, sometimes 645 sometimes 715 and he would wake about 4 hours later, I would nurse him and then he would go back to sleep-sometimes he needed pu pd in the middle of the night, sometimes he would just whimper and then go back to sleep by himself-but low and behold-last night, night 4 of doing better, he was up every couple of hours again-what is going on, he does ok for a few nights and then just when I think I may be on to something-he is back up every couple of hours again and yesterday-he did two great naps!!!

Also, how long should be up in the afternoon after his nap before he goes to bed for the night? last pm nap he slept until almost 4, so I wasn't sure what time to put him down for the night? I tried 7....

Any chance he's got some kind of allergy/intolerance? Some hayfever or something perhaps? DS woke and wanted milk quite a lot at night when he was suffering hay fever. I've only just realised now after at least 6 months of issues :-[

I use a plugin thing with menthol and eucalyptus - you could add some oils to the water in the humidifier... We don't need one here as its humid enough ;) I've also found raising his head a little helps - now I use a pillow but you could try raising the head of the mattress a little with a wedge.

The thing with the stuffiness is that if he's not able to breathe properly, he's likely waking because of that, not for some bad habit or other.
