Ebf - sleeping 12hrs b/w feeds?
« on: February 24, 2013, 06:06:29 am »
Hello. Quick poll. My dd is almost 4mos old. She
Currently sleeps from 7pm ish to 5am ish. Feeds - back to sleep until 7am. I don't do a dream feed as in the past it has caused her gas etc and we ended up sleeping less. Now I wonder if eventually she will sleep from 7 to 7 or if that's not ever really realistic and I should restart the dream feeds?

I'd leave her be if you are happy to do the 5am feed. 4months and sleeping that long is amazing!

Things change so much over the next few months that it is hard to say what she will do next, but she may well be one of those babies (like mine) for whom the dream feed does nothing but add in another wake up in the night.

I agree with PP, if it ain't broke don't fix it ;) That's great that she's sleeping so well at 4mo, hope she keeps it up :)

Also agree.  Has she been through the 4m growth spurt yet?  If not, you might find she starts waking more at night to feed anyway and could have a sleep 'blip' also.

I agree as well.  That's a pretty amazing night for a 4 month old!

That is similar to what we had and I never found the DF worked too well with either of mine, it just meant we had the DF plus the NF. I did find we started having an extra NF at GSs now and then.
