weaned since 21wks but suddenly started gagging

Hi there
Our lo has had solids since 21 weeks. This was on the advice of his paed as he had reflux. He took to it really well and enjoys his food. He is now nearly 28wks and has suddenly started to gag. He doesnt have a cols so its not as if he cant eat and breathe at the same time. I've also noticed that when he has his bottle he sucks but sometimes forgets to breathe through his nose. Does anybody know why he would just start doing this and are the two connected.

Hi hon, have you been offerring anything different lately? either different textures or tastes? what about different temperatures? sometimes small changes can make little ones- especially those with a history of reflux a bit wary and cause them to gag.

Haven't changed anything. I think he may have been under the weather as the day after posting he had diarrhea for a few days. Dont know if i did the right thing but stopped solids completely so he would take more milk. His nappies seem more normal now so will start solids again gradually. I'm hoping that it was cos he wasnt feeling great.
