We did an ebt, wanted 5:45 but babysitter did 6:15 :/ he woke at 11:45, 12, 1 and 5:40. He was so restless at all wamings, he tried so hard to get himself back to sleep even when he woke at 5:40.. maybe teething? Not sure. I gave meds at the 1 wakeup.  So frustrating he wants so badly to be sleeping but its like his body just wont let him. He's restless all night i can hear him cry out in his sleep.  But he wakes so happy after I apop in the am and he's not cranky during the day at all.

That sounds OT to me, especially given that he had approx. 5 hours A time till bed.

Yeah almost 5.5hrs. I dont doubt he's OT, i just dont know what to do about it. He utterly refuses his CN. I'm away this weekend so DH has him. After i get back i guess I'll have to try the short am nap thing because nothing else is working.

I do A 3.5-4 hrs pram/car sleep or very slightly ut sleep in cot so still happy to sleep then WU 40 mins and then pm nap 3.5 hours A. If pm nap short EBT but seems easier as he has at least had a nap. We did get a couple of days both naps short but then seemed happier than having the stress of pm nap refusal! EW have got better since naps in pm got a bit more consistent :-)

Ok i'll try with that. He can do a 4hr 15min A and take a 2hr nap so I think after an EW I'll probably be able to get him down after that. Can't start till after the weekend. I ended up just rockin ghim to sleep for the PM nap today. BT at 7:30. :) See what tonight brings.

did an EBT was asleep at 6:30 was a bit restless till around 9 but never woke (thinking gas), he was restless again around 2 and DH came home from work and when he came upstairs woke him up by accident. Took me about 15min but got him back down. Slept till 5:30 restless again but by 6 back out slept till 7:10. So not bad.

Are you trying now for a capped AM nap?

Then give it a couple more days and if it goes back to what it was before you can always try a capped AM nap.

Ok so things aren't going so well. This morning he woke early at 6:15 after a waking at 4am. I put him down after an A of 4hrs20 min. I got a 1.5hr nap but now I"m going to have to get in a CN which he refuses a lot. Why can one day he sleep 2hrs 30min and the next 1.5hrs on the same A? At this point in age is 1.5hr nap an OT nap?
